Tampa School Bomb Plot Exposed

Jared Cano appears in court on 17 August 2011

Police stop bomb plot hatched by expelled 17 year old high-school student Jared Cano against Freedom High School in Tampa Fl.

Jared Cano, 17, is accused of planning to plant a device at Freedom High School in north Tampa and detonate it as students returned on Tuesday.
Fuel, shrapnel and plastic tubing, along with timing and fusing devices were found at his home, police said.
The teenager had previously been arrested on several juvenile charges.
Mr Cano, who had been expelled from the school, was hoping to kill or injure more people than the 1999 shooting by two students at Columbine High School in Colorado, police chief June Castor said. That shooting killed 12 students and a teacher.
'Drawings of rooms'
Mr Cano was arrested on Tuesday night after an unnamed individual "came forth with information" about the plot, said Ms Castor.
"That's what we need in this community, to have the citizens involved in keeping this community safe," she added.
"And that was a prime example of allowing us to avoid a very serious event yesterday."
In addition to the alleged bomb-making material found in his home, investigators also found drawings of rooms inside the school and statements about his intent to kill people, police said.
The "minute-by-minute" plot targeted specific school staff and any students who were nearby, police said.
The St Petersburg Times newspaper reported that when Mr Cano appeared in court on Wednesday he was asked by the judge if he had anything to say.
He began: "The plan wasn't...", but a defence lawyer interrupted and advised him to say no more, reports the newspaper.
He faces charges of threatening to throw, project, place or discharge a destructive device, possession of bomb-making materials and marijuana charges.
Freedom High School principal Chris Farkas told media that Mr Cano had been expelled in April 2010 because of a non-school-related incident.
He said of his former pupil's arrest: "Once I found out and saw the information and saw what was taken from the apartment complex, that was when the reality and the fear set in that this was a real situation."
The teenager has been arrested in the past for burglary, drug possession and weapons offences, according to police.
"We've been very, very familiar with him," Police Maj John Newman said.

Judge Gives Pediatrician Life In Prison For Sexually Abusing Children

By Brent Odemn

Delaware pediatric doctor Earl Bradley will spend the rest of his life in prison for committing unspeakable acts of sexual abuse against dozens of his patients. The abuse took place over a ten year period.
Under Delaware law, a life sentence is mandatory for a person convicted of rape against three or more  victims. Bradley also was sentenced to 160 years in prison for multiple counts of assault and sexual exploitation of a child. Bradley recieved 14 life sentences without the possibility of parole for 14 counts of first degree rape. The 58 year old pedophile showed no emotion as the verdict was read.

"You will never be in a position to harm a child again,"  Judge William Carpenter, Jr. told Bradley.

The convicted pedophile walked away from two prior allegations of abuse back in 2005. But in December of 2009 was arrested after a 2 year old girl complained to her mother after leaving Bradley's office. In 2005 parents, relatives and other pediatricians told police about Bradley inappropriately touching children; still nothing was done. It wasn't until 2009 that detectives arrested Bradley and searched his office where dozens of videos were hidden. The tapes showed Bradley committing sex acts with over 80 children most of whom were under five years old. Detective Scott Garland described the videos as brutal and violent. Bradley could be seen picking the kids up by the head and throwing them across the room after he finished abusing them. He sometimes had to revive children using CPR.

Woman Convinced Husband To Have Sex With 12 Year Old While She Watched

Jackson County, Florida - Alicia Bouchard, a 41-year-old Florida woman has been jailed after she allegedly convinced her husband to have sex with a 12-year-old girl in hopes the girl would become pregnant and qualify for additional household income.

According to police, an investigation was launched a year ago after the girl was removed from the Couple's home and placed in a shelter. It was during that time the girl told authorities that she had been sexually active with Alicia Bouchard's husband, 26-year-old Michael Bouchard.

Michael Bouchard allegedly admitted to the sexual abuse and was booked into jail on charges of sexual battery and child abuse.

As the investigation continued, detectives learned that it was Alicia Bouchard who allegedly convinced her husband to have sex with the child in the hopes that the pregnancy would lead to more household income.

According to the arrest affidavit, Alicia Bouchard reportedly encouraged the girl to have sex with her husband, saying "the worst that could happen is you would get pregnant."

Alicia Bouchard also allegedly admitted to being present in the room while the sexual abuse took place.

Investigators obtained a letter Alicia Bouchard had written to the girl after she was placed in a shelter. In the letter, Alicia Bouchard reportedly apologized to the girl for forcing her to watch her and her husband have sex. She also stated that it was a mistake to watch her husband have sex with the 12-year-old victim.

Alicia Bouchard was booked into jail on charges of being a principal to sexual battery, soliciting sexual activity with a child and principal to child abuse. Her bond has been set at $70,000.

Matthew Bouchard continues to be held without bond.

Images of Robyn Gardner said to be found on Aruba suspect's camera

Graphic, disturbing and 'beyond pornographic' images are believed to have been found on Gary Giordano's camera of missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner, calling into question the relationship between them, who were at first believed to simply be travelling companions
Missing: Robyn Gardner disappeared while on holiday in Aruba with 50-year-old Gary Giordano who is being held by policeInsurance: Gary Giordano took out an accidental death policy on missing woman Robyn Gardner, which named him as a beneficiary, days before their trip to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba

Evidence emerged that the Maryland businessman tried to collect the $1.5million accidental death
policy he took out on her just two days after he reported her disappearance to police.
Giordano, who purchased the accidental policy shortly before travelling to the Dutch Caribbean island with the 35-year-old, tried to begin redeeming the American Express policy, which he took out just days before their trip and unusually only covered the trip to Aruba.
According to a police source, Giordano purchased a more expensive one-year policy instead of a more commonly purchased five year policy.
Gary Giordano tried to redeem accidental death policy on missing woman Robyn Gardner, which named him as a beneficiary, days before their trip to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba
Authorities today were preparing a massive search of the island for the missing woman’s body or evidence in the case.
Their search will be focused on the most southern, rural parts of the island which is more desert-like and uninhabited.

Giordano - a twice divorced father-of-three -  is still fighting the charges from the Aruban prison.

He still denies anything to do with Robyn's disappearance and claims she vanished while they were out snorkelling.
Police are looking at a rock which is said to have a full hand print and blood on it that was found behind a restaurant that the pair were said to have dined in before her disappearance.

Are White Women Mutilating Themselves Trying To Look Black?

By Xavier James

I haven't seen a white woman on television in years with her own lips or breasts. They all look like black lip wannabees, cartoon-ish, animated versions of real lips......

.......Is it self esteem, fad or overindulgence that's fueling this self image debacle? Thousands of white women mutilating themselves trying to look like something other then what they are. After seeing Lisa Rinna's lips why would any white women still take a chance on a procedure that could leave them looking like Donatella  Versace? What's been fueling this obsession?
Could it be the white male collective pushing white women to such drastic measures? I did a history check and found out that white men have always went to the black woman for.....

Man Claims To Be Vampire, Attacks Woman

Galveston Police said a man bit a woman on her neck and while beating her in her apartment, he claimed to be a vampire.
The attack happened early Saturday morning at the Ocean Front Apartments on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston.
Investigators said Lyle Bensley used his foot to break the door down and get inside the woman's apartment.
The alleged victim said that she had never met Bensley.
Capt. Jeff Heyes with the Galveston Police Department said during the alleged attack, "(Bensley) made hissing sounds and growled."
Police said Bensley started dragging the woman down the hallway but she managed to get away.
One of the woman's neighbors, Damian Gasaway, helped her escape. "It was so scary," he said.
Gasaway said he helped the woman call police.
Officers arrived at the apartment complex a few minutes later and found Bensley in the parking lot wearing boxers.
He was arrested and charged with burglary.
The alleged victim suffered minor injuries but did not have to go the hospital, police said.

Arkansas Judge Accepts Plea deal; Frees Memphis 3

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Three men convicted of killing three 8-year-old Cub Scouts and dumping their bodies in an Arkansas ditch changed their pleas Friday, resolving a yearslong effort to win their freedom.
Under a plea bargain, Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were being freed immediately. The boys' families were notified about the pact ahead of time but were not asked to approve it.
The defendants, known by their supporters as the West Memphis 3, agreed to a legal maneuver that lets them maintain their innocence while acknowledging prosecutors have enough evidence against them.
"I am innocent of these charges but I am entering an Alford guilty plea," Echols told the judge. Baldwin and Miskelley also reasserted their innocence.
"Although I am innocent, this plea is in my best interest," Misskelley said.
The three were credited with time served, and Echols is being freed from Arkansas' death row. They were placed on 10 years' probation and if they re-offend they could be sent back to prison for 21 years, Prosecutor Scott Ellington said.
"I believe that it would be practically impossible after 18 years to put on a proper trial in this case," Ellington said.
"I believe this case is closed and there are no other individuals involved," he said.
Baldwin and Echols each pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder. Misskelley pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder. The Alford plea allows the men to maintain their claims of innocence.
After the hearings, Baldwin told reporters that he had been reluctant to plead guilty to crimes he maintains he didn't commit, but that he was desperate to secure his release.
"That's not justice, however you look at it," he said.
Echols called his release "overwhelming."
"It's not perfect," he said of the deal. "It's not perfect by any means. But it at least brings closure to some areas and some aspects."
He said the West Memphis Three would continue to work to clear their names.
Echols' wife, Lorri, sat in the front row of a crowded courtroom, next to Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, who became a key supporter of the men after watching a pair of HBO documentaries about the case. Vedder put his arm around her during the proceedings.
The three defendants were expected later Friday at a news conference in the courtroom basement.
Circuit Judge David Laser acknowledged the case was complex, and that both the victims' families and the supporters of the three men convicted had suffered. He said he thought Friday's deal would serve justice "the best we can."
"I don't think it will make the pain go away," Laser said during the court proceedings.
One person yelled "Baby killers" as the three left the courtroom.
The May 5, 1993, killings were particularly gruesome. Steve Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore were found nude, and hogtied, and rumors of Satanism roiled the community in the weeks following their deaths. Branch and Moore drowned in about 2 feet of water; Byers bled to death and his genitals were mutilated and partially removed.
Police had few leads until receiving a tip that Echols had been seen mud-covered the night the boys disappeared. The big break came when Misskelley unexpectedly confessed and implicated Baldwin and Echols in the killings.
"Then they tied them up, tied their hands up," Misskelley said in the statement to police, parts of which were tape-recorded. After describing sodomizing and other violence, he went on: "And I saw it and turned around and looked, and then I took off running. I went home, then they called me and asked me, 'How come I didn't stay? I told them, I just couldn't.'"
Misskelley later recanted, and defense lawyers said the then-17-year-old got several parts of the story incorrect. An autopsy said there was no definite evidence of sexual assault. Miskelley had said the older boys abducted the Scouts in the morning, when they had actually been in school all day.
Misskelley was tried separately, convicted of first- and second-degree murder, and sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years. He refused to testify against the others and his confession was not admitted into evidence.
Defense lawyers for Echols and Baldwin alleged juror misconduct, saying they heard about the Misskelley confession anyway. Attorneys also said there wasn't enough physical evidence linking the three to the crime scene.
The Arkansas Supreme Court upheld Echols' conviction and death sentence in 1996, saying there was still enough other evidence to sustain it.
A 1996 HBO documentary, "Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills," drew the attention of celebrities including Vedder and Natalie Maines, lead singer of the Dixie Chicks. They and other celebrities helped fund a legal team that worked to win the three a new trial.
"Why are they innocent?" Vedder said in an interview with The Associated Press last year. "Because there's nothing that says they're guilty."
Last fall, the Arkansas Supreme Court ordered a new hearing for the three and asked a judge to consider allegations of juror misconduct and whether new DNA science could aid the men or uphold the convictions.
In upholding Echols' conviction in 1996, the state Supreme Court noted that two people testified Echols bragged about the killings, an eyewitness put Echols at the scene, fibers similar to the boys' clothing were found in Echols' home, a knife was found in a pond behind Baldwin's home, Echols' interest in the occult and his telling police that he understood the boys had been mutilated before officers had released such details.

Stepfather Charged In Decapatation of Head Found On Side of the Road

Thibodaux Louisiana-A father has admitted to chopping his son's head off with a meat cleaver and leaving it outside his home so that the boy's mother could see it. However, a passing motorist saw the decapatated head and called the authorities. When police arrived they found the decapatated head of 7 year -old Jori Lirette near the curb. Detectives later found the child's body in a sack of trash  that had been dumped nearby.

The boy's father, 30-year old Jeremiah Lee Wright, is alleged to have confessed to the murder. Telling detectives 'he'd gotten tired of taking care of the boy.' Jori, who was born with Cerebral Palsy, needed a feeding tube and was bound to a wheelchair. When asked why he put the head on the side of the road he said "he wanted the boy's mother to see it and feel stupid when she drove by."

Police say Wright carried out the gruesome murder in the kitchen over the sink. His hands and feet were also cut off and put in plastic bags near the body. Police said the boy's mother was away getting her car repaired when the murder took place. The 27 year old mother said "the devil had visited her home and had taken away her angel." The distraught mother also told authorities how much the boy loved his father and "he killed him anyway. He killed my baby."

Family members had warned her to take her son and leave the ten year relationship after being told Wright was hearing voices. Wrights criminal history includes arrests for burglary, contempt and drugs. Thibodaux Police Chief Silverii said "not in 22 years have I seen anything like this."  Wright is being held on five million dollars bond and faces the death penalty if convicted.

Racist Teens Beat And Kill Innocent Black Man

Jackson, Mississippi-- On a recent Sunday just before dawn, two carloads of white teenagers drove to Jackson, Mississippi, on what the county district attorney says was a mission of hate: to find and hurt a black person.

In a parking lot on the western side of town they found their victim.
James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, was standing in a parking lot, near his car. The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly, yelled racial epithets, including "White Power!" according to witnesses.

Mississippi officials say it was a racially motivated murder. What the gang of teens did not know was that a surveillance camera was focused on the parking lot that night, and many of the events, including the actual murder of Anderson, were captured live on videotape.

"I ran that nigger over," Daryl Dedmon, the 18 year old leader, allegedly said in a phone conversation to the teens in the other car. Dedmon faces two life terms for the murder.
