Portland, Oregon - William Gaskin, 40, and his girlfriend Desiree Chapman, 22, have been jailed following the alleged sexual abuse of a toddler and a 5-year-old girl.According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was launched after the roommate of a 3-year-old girl's parents came home to find Gaskin sexually abusing the toddler. The roommate called the little girl's mother, who then contacted authorities.

Investigators say that while Gaskin was in jail, the father of a 5-year-old girl told Beaverton police that Gaskin sexually abused his daughter while he and Chapman babysat the child.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Gaskin's residence and reportedly obtained evidence to corroborate the father's claim. After the case was transferred over to Washington County detectives, the 5-year-old girl disclosed that she had been sexually abused by Gaskin and that Chapman was in the home when the abuse occurred.
The case was presented to a Washington Grand Jury who indicted Gaskin on two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration of a child and one count of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct.

Detectives believe Gaskin and Chapman babysat several children and believe there may be other victims of sexual abuse who have not come forward. Anyone with information or knowledge of possible sexual abuse in connection to this case is urged to contact detective John Shipley at 503-846-2596.
